Somewhere within a cave or other natural enclosed space, there is a jar containing a notebook.
Approach with a confession and Record it within this notebook, then move the jar somewhere new.
Submit its new location.

Somewhere, on the side of the road, there is a jar.
Approach this jar with a printed photograph of somebody that you don't like. Tear this photograph into small pieces and place these pieces within the jar. You may Record the sound of the tearing.
When this jar is full, the Final Stranger collects it and takes it home. They arrange the fragments into a scowling face. A single candlelit photograph of this face is captured and the fragments are then immediately burned. The sound of the fire is Recorded.
A small symbol is painted in black somewhere on the jar. The jar spends a single night indoors, somewhere warm and concealed.
It is then placed somewhere new. Its new location is Recorded on our Ledger.

On a small altar, there is either an inscribed stick or a painted stone.
Take this object with you somewhere far away and allow it to lead you to a precious natural artifact.
Return to the altar and place this natural artifact before it, arranged beautifully with the contributions of previous Participants.
Replace the Seeking Stick.

2 sticks are hidden in 2 faraway locations.
They are to be collected by a single Participant and taken somewhere high and cold. This location is Recorded on our Ledger.
Subsequent Participants repeat this process, moving the sticks somewhere higher and colder each time, until they finally reach the peak of a great mountain.
There, they are incinerated together for the warmth of the Final Stranger.

In a quiet place, a piece of obsidian lays in clean grass.

Nearby, there is a jar containing a journal. Approach this place with a beautiful stone and a secret.

Free yourself of this secret by Recording it within the journal and place your stone around the obsidian.
These stones are to be arranged in the shape of a Friend with the obsidian representing the Friend's heart. Other natural objects may be added to the body of the friend as this process develops.

If you approach this Friend and feel the time is right, kill him. Take the Journal home and Incinerate it. Violently destroy the jar any way you wish and Record it for our Ledger. Take his heart and bury it near the front of your home.
Each month, burn a single candle at his grave.

Somewhere, there is an isolated place. Here, celebrate your Ultra Birthday.
This is a final birthday which goes beyond all others in indulgence and intensity.
No expense is spared, no limits left unsurpassed.
Only prepare the finest foods. Light the area with torches, candles, and other natural sources of light.
Do not commence festivities until the sun has fallen. Do not cease festivities until the sun rises.
Arrange fierce competitions and feats of strength.
All Participants bring 3 Gifts to the Ultra Birthday. These Gifts are added to a communal pool.
As the sun rises, all Participants recieve 3 Gifts at random from the pool.
An Ultra Birthday is a collective birthday, the total number of Participants increases the festive potency of the occasion.

In a small, shaded grove, there is a wooden staff. As the sun sets, 3 Musicians congregate around the staff. 2 Musicians have bells, 1 musician carries a large instrument.
A song of departing is performed, starting slowly and growing steadily in intensity. As this song begins, a 4th Participant (referred to as the Judge) emerges from the the trees. The Judge has their face entirely covered. Once the song is complete, the Judge presents a single Gift to a Musician of his choice.
The Judge turns their back on the musicians and departs to the solitary playing of the Gifted Musician. The remaining 2 Musicians present each other with Gifts of their own.

Somewhere, on a hill in the woods, there is a small sanctuary. 3 Participants approach this sanctuary as the sun sets. 2 are designated as Bakers, while one enacts the role of The Branmother. The Branmother arrives before her Bakers and prepares her court. She may have up to 3 Musicians by her side. After a quarter of an hour, her Bakers arrive. They descend down the slope to meet her. The Branmother does not speak to her Bakers. Each Baker presents their creation to the Branmother. The Branmother considers deeply the quality of each confection and, after great deliberation, announces a winner. The winner is presented with a small, valuable Gift from The Branmother. The Branmother presents her own exceptional confection. All parties share equally in the total accumulation of treats. A night is spent free of obligation.

2 Musicians arrive on opposite sides of a small man-made space. These Musicians bring with them 2 small instruments capable of playing in the same key.
The Musicians perform a pre-arranged musical sequence consisting of 3 chords which is inscribed upon an object placed nearby.
After they are finished, they swap their instruments and depart the way they came. The Musicians write loving songs about each other with their friend's instrument.
After 1 week has passed, the Musicians return to this location and perform the songs they have written. The instruments are swapped back and the Musicians exchange Gifts.

Somewhere, in a dark underground structure, a single masked Participant (referred to as the Subject) places themselves in an isolated corner with a small source of light and a set of bells.
Once the Subject is situated, an Artist arrives and approaches their location, lured by the sound of the Subject's voice and the bells. The Subject may only speak in whispers.
When the Artist reaches the Subject, they speak the phrase "Here I am!" aloud. This triggers the approach of a third Participant (referred to as the Monster) hiding somewhere nearby.
The Artist begins to draw their Subject by the small light. As they draw, the Monster approaches as silently as they are able. The ringing of the Subject’s bells increases in intensity as the Monster approaches.
When the Monster reaches the Artist, they forcefully place both hands on the Artist's shoulders, signalling the end of the drawing. The drawing is then placed within a jar hidden nearby and all 3 Participants depart in silence.
The artist and Subject walk side by side, holding hands. The Monster trails behind.

Somewhere in the woods, there is a small stick hidden in one of 2 locations.
Choose one of these locations and approach it with a Friend as a new day begins. If the stick is not at your chosen location, attempt this Ritual another day.
Place the stick somewhere on your person. Travel slowly to the other marked location as the sun rises. Imagine that ghosts are attracted to your presence over the duration of this journey. Sing songs for the ghosts as you travel.
When you have reached your destination, place the stick where it may be found by subsequent Participants.

Somewhere in the woods, there is an elevated platform.
3 Participants, 2 Musicians and a Dancer, approach this platform as the sun sets.
The Musicians perform for the Dancer, circling on the ground. The Dancer loses themselves to ecstasy.

Somewhere, where the river meets the sea, there is a rocky shoreline.

Come here at night with your friends.

Somewhere on the beach, there is a small cove where water from a cliff drips into the sand. 4 Participants approach this place at night when the tide is low. 3 Participants travel by way of the forest. One inhabits the role of a long dead Fisherman, dressed in a hooded jacket that obscures his face. The Fisherman does not have the ability to speak. The other 2 Participants are his Soldiers, whose faces are covered completely. Once the triad arrives at the cove, the area is warmly lit and the Fisherman's Soldiers conceal themselves. The Fisherman produces 3 valuable objects and places them before his seat. 1 Participant, inhabiting the role of a Gambler, travels by way of the beach, arriving shortly after the triad. They allow themselves be guided on foot along the beach toward the light of the Fisherman's haunt. Once the Gambler arrives, they seat themselves and produce an object of immense sentimental value from their pocket, displaying it for the Fisherman. The Fisherman accepts the Gambler's wager and produces a small bottle of alcohol from his coat, placing it on the ground before him. He deals 3 hands of cards to the Gambler, each round counted as either a win or a loss for the opposing sides. After each loss, the Gambler may choose to take a sip from the Fisherman's brew. The first to 3 wins is proclaimed the victor. If the Gambler wins, they take the Fisherman's treasures and walk off proudly into the night. If the Fisherman wins, he produces 3 loud noises. This signals his Soldiers to emerge from their hiding and extinguish all sources of light as quickly as they are able. The Gambler is seized and walked into the ocean so that the water may be up to their knees. They are then compelled to toss their treasured posession into the waves. After this is done, the Gambler is given the remaining alcohol and retreats into the night.
